CAD and 3D printing for rapid prototyping
We provide a CAD and 3D printing service for those wanting a bespoke service.
Our approach is to work with a small number of customers helping them take their orginal design ideas and improve it by rounds of prototyping so that manufacturing becomes a realistic prospect.
We understand how important it is to get a physical prototype made and then improve the design as however great your design idea is, it is very unlikely to be ready to manufacture with its first iteration.
We have a track record of (i) designing innovative products, (ii) producing prototypes using 3D printing (iii) iterating and improving the initial design and (iv) getting the design to the point where it can actually be made and sold.
Our approach is to work closely with a small number of clients and offer a personalised, bespoke service.
Creofabrica Ltd was set up in 2013 as a 3D printing company. We are based in Sale in South Manchester and are registered with Companies House (UK).
We have three 3D printers and produce prototypes in ABS and PLA. We use a company in Hong-Kong to produce very high-quality SLA resin prototypes.
Saliva collection device
This was our first commercial project where we worked with an NHS Genetic diagnostics laboratory to co-develop a saliva collection device for diagnostic testing.
The design we developed is now sold as the GeneFix system which is sold globally by Cell Projects Ltd.
Magnetic Rack Project
This was another project where we worked closely with an innovative NHS laboratory.
This highly specialised microtube rack has been designed to include neodymium magnets which then allows the rack to be used to purify biomolecules such as DNA and RNA.
Our most recent project is completely different. We are working with a well-known profession trumpet player to develop a range of custom-designed mutes.
